Your Cat(s) May Save You From A Heart Attack!
Cat owners, rejoice! Your feline-companions may be the key to keeping your heart healthy and saving your life!
A recently unearthed study from 2009 showed results that people who lived with cats were able to decrease their mortality risk.
Let’s delve into the reasons why this might be.

Having A Cat Teaches You To Take Care Of Another
Cats see us as their friends and family, and they are social creatures indeed!
In documented cases, 2 mother cats who are related will help each other nurse each other’s kittens, showing their deep affinity for familial bonds.
If your cat is disheveled and sick, it can be a reflection of their owners' part. Having cats in your house teaches you to care for another living being. And in doing so, is a reflection of how you take care of yourself!
It also teaches you to share living space with an occupant who has similar and different needs to you.
If a cat is unhealthy (such as one with rabies) or living conditions are poor, it can harm your health. But with proper care, your feline companion can bring many positive benefits to your well-being.

Cats Boost Your Immune System (And May Make You Rich!)
A recent study has revealed a surprising link between cats and financial success — through a parasite called Toxoplasma gondii.
This infection, known as toxoplasmosis, usually causes little harm in healthy adults, though it can pose risks for young children or those with weakened immune systems.
Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder discovered that exposure to T. gondii may actually influence behavior, making people more inclined to take risks that could lead to financial rewards. In fact, the study found that infected individuals were 1.4 times more likely to major in business and 1.7 times more likely to specialize in management or entrepreneurship.

Affectionate Fuzzball
Cats are naturally affectionate, especially once they feel safe and connected with you. One of the sweetest ways they show this bond is by hopping onto your lap and kneading. This gentle pressing motion has its roots in kittenhood, when young cats knead their mother’s belly to stimulate milk flow.
As adults, the behavior carries over as a comforting ritual, often linked to feelings of security and contentment. So, when your cat kneads you, it’s really their way of saying they’re happy, relaxed, and trust you completely.
Petting your cat releases the chemical oxytocin for both of you. This is known as the “cuddle chemical” and the “bonding hormone”. The simple act of petting your cat will make you release hormones that combat stress.

They Lower Your Chances of a Stroke!
A study from NIH found through testing that cat owners had a lower risk of heart disease and stroke!
The study concludes that having a cat around may be a novel strategy for individuals with heart problems!
